James Wan Swamp Thing

If you can’t wait to see more of what the DC Universe ‘Swamp Thing‘ is going to look like, it is time to enjoy some new behind-the-scenes footage from the show! Director Len Wiseman isn’t showing off any of the leading characters, but we’re getting a good idea of what the look and feel for the swamp itself is going to be like. Honestly, it seems even more tone accurate than what both ‘Titans’ and ‘Doom Patrol’ have been able to deliver so far, and they’ve both faired pretty well with most fans and critics alike.

You can check it the footage from Wiseman’s Instagram right here!

Executive producer James Wan has described the series as being a “Gothic Horror/Romance” and this new footage does seem to embody the first descriptor he used. This does feel like a gothic horror from this limited footage. The show stars Crystal Reed as Abby Arcane, Maria Sten as Liz, Henderson Wade as Matt Cable, Jeryl Prescott as Madame Xanadu, Virginia Madsen as Maria Sunderland, Will Patton as Avery Sunderland, Jennifer Beals as an original character created for the series, Andy Bean as Alec Holland, Kevin Durand as Jason Woodrue, and Derek Mears who will be in a physical suit to portray Swamp Thing. Sadly, none of these actors are visible here.

What do you think of this new behind-the-scenes footage from ‘Swamp Thing’? Does DC Universe have another hit on their hands?

The drama follows what happens when CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus. There, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.
