Chloe Bennet Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

One of the big mysteries around Marvel’s ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ on ABC is if Agent Coulson will once again be able to come back from the dead or even find a way to survive it entirely. A recent interview with Chloe Bennet who plays Quake on the show has made it look like he’ll be down for the count when the show returns.

We haven’t been able to get a solid reveal on Clark Gregg’s character would have an impact in the next season, and when the actress was asked about how her character would deal with his absence she revealed that:

“In my mind, she has a bit more of a peace to her. There is obviously the mourning of Coulson, but she’s also been through it all, and she is genuinely stronger from it. She is not dealing with things as she has in the past. She has fully accepted her trauma and is moving forward in the most healthy way, for the first time.”

As Coulson acted as Daisy’s surrogate father, it will come as no surprise to viewers that his loss could potentially devastate her. Be revealing that “the mourning of Coulson” hasn’t done that and that “she has fully accepted her trauma and is moving forward.”

While this could all be a ploy on the actress’s part to keep a big surprise of his return a secret, it would almost feel like a cheat to have him come close to death and not actually die this time around. Part of me hopes they pull off that last second comic book miracle, but I’m not getting my hopes up for it.

Do you feel that Chloe Bennet is being upfront about Coulson’s death? Will Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ continue to grow without Gregg Clark being involved? Share your thoughts in the comments below, True Believers!
