Shadowhunters

Freeform has announced that the final batch of episodes of ‘Shadowhunters’ will begin rolling out on February 25.  There are 12 episodes remaining– 10 previously filmed for the third season, plus two new episodes meant to give the show a proper send-off and to complete the adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s novels which served as the basis of the show.

In the midseason finale, the show’s star, Clary Fray ( played by Katherine McNamara) appeared to die, but obviously, she will be back to help wrap up the series.  Here is the description, as provided by Freeform:

Unbeknownst to them, the Shadowhunters face a new level of evil that they can’t even imagine with the arrival of Jonathan Morgenstern (Luke Baines), the true form of Clary’s brother.

With the loss of Clary after Lilith’s apartment exploded, Alec, Isabelle and Jace try to come to terms with what has happened. Glad to have their brother back, Alec and Isabelle are still worried about Jace, who is taking the actions of The Owl very hard. Magnus is also mourning the loss of his magic and finds himself in a new position—having to rely on others for help.

Meanwhile, Maia tries to help a devastated Simon who has lost his family and his best friend. But unknown to everyone, Clary is alive and finds herself in a new and dangerous predicament.

As indicated, Luke Baines will appear as Jonathan for the last few episodes, replacing Will Tudor.  In addition to McNamara, the cast of ‘Shadowhunters’ includes Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway, Alisha Wainwright as Maia Roberts, and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane.

‘Shadowhunters’ returns on Monday night, February 25, 2019 at 8 pm EST, which will serve as its regular time slot.  If you need to get caught up, older episodes can be streamed through Freeform’s website and on Hulu.
