At one point during the new trailer for ‘Gotham’ Season 5, the words “No Rules” flash on the screen and that seems to have been the mantra for the show’s creators as they crafted this final season.  Shane West makes his debut as Bane, while Cameron Monaghan’s Jeremiah Valeska moves closer to becoming The Joker for good, with he and Bruce getting into a knock-down, drag-out at the Ace Chemical plant.

Monaghan spoke about this incident, saying:

“Yeah, I mean it’s obviously a huge landmark within the mythos and it is relating to Jeremiah.  I don’t want to say exactly what happens and how it goes down, but it’s really, really f—ing cool. I’m excited for it.”

Elsewhere, Selena (Camren Bicondova) undergoes a major metamorphosis, while it appears that ‘Gotham’ is actually introducing some form of Harley Quinn.  Fans also catch glimpses of Gotham as it is rendered “No Man’s Land,” cut off from the rest of humanity and overrun with Scarecrow’s gang and the Mutants from ‘The Dark Knight Returns’.  Some of the cast members appear to die and come back.  Gotham has never been the most inviting of locales, but is it possible that it’s become even worse?
