The CW Reveals Another Promo For Elseworlds Featuring Batwoman In Action

The CW has unveiled the first look at Ruby Rose as Batwoman in motion in a clip that aired during the Monday night episode of ‘Arrow’.  According to the voice overs in the clip, it appears that in the Arrowverse, Batman is considered an urban legend, at least according to Oliver (Stephen Amell).  Barry (Grant Gustin) on the other hand believes there is a Batman.  But of course, it isn’t Batman that will encounter the heroes of the Arrowverse– it’s Batwoman.

The clip is pretty short, but viewers get not only a tease of Rose’s Batwoman, but a peek inside of the latest TV version of Arkham Asylum, and it doesn’t look like any good is going to come out of there.  In fact, it’s during a prison break there that Batwoman makes her presence known.  If things go well with Rose’s appearances, The CW may give Batwoman her own series.

Though it isn’t clear how or why, in the “Elseworlds” crossover Barry and Oliver somehow swap roles, with Oliver being the Scarlet Speedster and Barry slinging the bow and arrow.  Barry as Green Arrow seems in awe as he and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) realize their new companion isn’t Batman.

Have a look at the new clip below:

As for the enigma of Batman, Gustin says, “Oliver is like, ‘He’s not real! They’ve made him up! It’s a hoax just to scare the citizens.’ Barry is flabbergasted by that and all he wants to do in Gotham is meet Batman. It’s a pretty funny scene.”

But as Amell explained, Oliver’s disbelief may have something to do with him being green with envy. “Oliver is not enthused about the idea that there might be some other vigilante out there,” he remarked.

The ‘Elseworlds’ crossover begins on ‘The Flash’ on Sunday night, December 9, continues on ‘Supergirl’ on Monday, Dec. 10 and concludes on ‘Supergirl’ on Tuesday, Dec. 11.  Each episode airs at 8pm EST.
