Elseworlds

Supergirl, Melissa Benoist, has shared a photo on Instagram of herself and her new costar Ruby Rose, who embodies Batwoman and will make her debut in the three-part ‘Elseworlds’ crossover which will span ‘The Flash’, ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Arrow’ in December.  Batwoman, also known as Kate Kane, is being eyed to potentially star in her own spin-off series that will hopefully debut next fall.

After an official photo was revealed earlier in October, here is a less doctored, candid shot via Benoist:

In addition to Batwoman, the Elseworlds crossover will introduce the Arrowverse’s Lois Lane, played by Elizabeth TullochTyler Hoechlin will also return as Superman/Clark Kent and at one point will be seen in a black uniform.  Rumor has it that The CW is also looking to craft a ‘Superman’ spin-off series as well!  John Wesley Shipp will also return and he has been photographed wearing the dark red costume he wore when he starred on the ‘Flash’ TV series from the 1990s.  For some reason, Barry and Ollie will trade identities and the crossover will introduce the Arrowverse’s version of the dimension-crossing Monitor, portrayed by LaMonica Garrett.

‘Elseworlds’ will begin on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 8pm EST, on ‘The Flash’, which is flip-flopping nights with ‘Supergirl’ for this event.  Part two takes place on ‘Arrow’, which airs on its normal night and time on Monday, December 10, at 8pm, and will wrap up on Tuesday night, December 11, at 8pm, on ‘Supergirl’.  ‘Legends of Tomorrow‘ will not participate in this year’s crossover.

All of The CW’s DC Comics shows have returned for their new fall seasons, including the disconnected ‘Black Lightning’.

Are looking forward to the ‘Elseworlds’ event?
