Neill Blomkamp Alien

We still can’t get over the fact that we got a sequel to ‘Prometheus’ instead of Neill Blomkamp‘s ‘Alien’ film and the sting only hurts worse as more design photos for the project surface. Blomkamp has said that he is no longer interested in creating the movie and having his vision delayed for ‘Alien: Covenant,’ of all things, is understandable as to why he felt rubbed the wrong way. Still, the director is enjoying making us wish for what could have been with the random detail or visual from the movie that he had in mind.

Ridley Scott might have been trying to turn away from Xenomorphs to explore artificial intelligence but the latest alien sculpt which Blomkamp share shows once again that he was ready to embrace the aliens which H.R. Giger made so terrifying in his crafting these horrifying space monsters. The latest also included a couple of extra arms which you can check out right here!

With the poor critic, fan, and commercial reception to ‘Alien: Covenant‘ it seems unlikely that Ridley Scott will be able to finish out his planned set of films. The excitement for what Blomkamp had put together should have been noticed by the studio after the failure of ‘Prometheus’ to capture the imagination of fans, but unfortunately, things worked out the way they did.

Do you wish Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Alien’ movie could have seen the light of day or did you enjoy the last two outings with Ridley Scott? With the dismal returns of the previous two films at the box office do you think that the franchise has any chance to recover at this point? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
