Daredevil

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Netflix’s ‘Daredevil‘ will give us another major villain in Season 3 and from Erik Oleson’s description, this villain will likely be one fans have wanted since the first chapter. Erik Oleson, who is the new showrunner on the series, has been teasing all kinds of details and while he doesn’t say who Matt Murdock will have to fight, he does describe the relationship between the characters. Fans of The Man Without Fear know that past his dealings with The Hand and outside of Kingpin and Elektra, that there is a third villain who makes up his main trifecta of singular enemies and that is Bullseye.

Now, it should be stated that Oleson doesn’t clearly share that Bullseye is going to appear in the upcoming season, but his description makes it hard to imagine any other character it would be. Here is how the showrunner describes these two interacting with one another:

“Well there’s another character on this show who is a very physical threat to Matt, who in many ways is able to balance and/or even, at times, best Daredevil. So, somebody who can match him blow for blow and is also deeply drawn psychologically and is a real human being and a character in and of his own right so that we will hopefully see that character as a person with his own wants, needs, and desires and understand what those are. In the way that he will clash with Matt, I think it will – I’m choosing my words so carefully here, guys – it will illuminate aspects of Matt’s character at the same time it will illuminate aspects of this other villain. But also Fisk and others.”

I’d be surprised if this isn’t Bullseye as Fisk is also involved here and we’ve seen the Kingpin regret hiring Bullseye a few times over the years.

Are you excited to see another villain going up against Matt Murdock in the third season of ‘Daredevil’? With how broken we saw The Man Without Fear at the end of ‘The Defenders’ is there any chance he could even stand against him? Share your thoughts in the comments below, True Believers!
