Soon it’ll be standing room only on TNT’s ‘Snowpiercer‘ as the cast has just grown to include Iddo Goldberg (‘Salem’,’The Zookeeper’s Wife’) as a series regular! It sounds as if all of the pre-production woes of having James Hawes replacing Scott Derrickson as the show’s director and Graeme Manson replacing Josh Friedman as the showrunner for the series may have finally been ironed out.
On the show, Goldberg has joined the cast as Bennett who is “an engineer through and through. He sees the big picture but knows the devil is in the details. As one of the original engineers who helped design the train, he is also one of the few who knows the deepest secrets of the train.”
The series is based on South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho’s smash hit 2013 film and throws us into a dystopian society which takes place seven years after civilization has fallen. The world has come to an end and what remains of humanity is trapped on a giant train which is set to run eternally over the frozen husk that our world has become. A class-based society has been created with the wealthy living in a luxurious lifestyle not available to them before the world’s downfall while the poor are stuck at the back of the train living in appalling conditions.
This division, of course, leads to revolution.
The actor is set to join a cast which already includes: Mickey Sumner, Susan Park, Benjamin Haigh, Sasha Frolova, Katie McGuinness, Alison Wright, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, and Lena Hall.
