Cody Fern

Casting news is still coming for ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse‘ and this time it is in the form of Cody Fern (‘American Crime Story: Versace’) joining the upcoming season. As this is the crossover season between “Murder House” and “Coven” you might expect that this would mean a new actor would be playing a new character. However, we’ve learned that Fern will be a key player from “Murder House,” Michael Langdon.

You might be wondering how that might be, but you have to remember that years have passed in the series since the first season. If you recall, Langdon was introduced in the season finale of “Murder House” as the Antichrist child which resulted from the time that Evan Peters’ Tate Langdon and Connie Britton’s Vivien Harmon spent together. He’s now all grown up and will be played by Fern.

According to series creator Ryan Murphy:

“Excited to announce Cody Fern will be playing the role of Michael Langdon in American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Premieres September 12 on FX.”

All of the previews so far have shown a child with a demonic hand close to it, and now it looks like we can see why. It isn’t clear if the child was meant to be a young Michael Langdon or if he has a child in the upcoming season.

When we last saw Michael, he had been left in the care of Jessica Lange’s Constance Langdon. It should be noted that one “secret friend” would be returning this season and while that could be the child’s mother played by Britton who hasn’t been back since the initial season.

Are you looking forward to ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’? Do you think that bringing back Michael Langdon all grown up is the right way to go for the upcoming season? Share your thoughts below!
