roswell new mexico

The CW delivered a surprise at Saturday’s San Diego Comic-Con as they premiered the trailer for their rebooted ‘Roswell’ series now retitled ‘Roswell, New Mexico.’ The trailer aired at The CW Legacies panel and honestly, it looks a lot better than I was expecting it to!

The trailer is visible below!

This reboot of ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ is said to have a political vibe that relates to immigration issues. In the leading roles, the series stars Jeanine Mason (‘Grey’s Anatomy’) as Liz Ortecho and Nathan Parsons (‘The Originals’) as Max who is a police officer in the city that they grew up in. Ortecho returns to Roswell where she grew up as the daughter of two illegal immigrants and Max is an illegal alien himself.

Only, he’s from space and not just another country.

Joining these two on the cast are “Lily Cowles (‘BrainDead) as Isobel’, a fellow alien masquerading as a human; Michael Vlamis (‘New Girl’) as Michael, an alien desperate to leave this planet; Tyler Blackburn (‘Pretty Little Liars’) as Alex Manes, a military vet whose father’s expectations threaten his future with the man he loves; Michael Trevino (‘The Vampire Diaries’) as Kyle, whose father is the town sheriff; Heather Hemmens (‘Hellcats’) as Liz’s best friend Maria; and Karan Oberoi (‘Counterpart’) as Isobel’s husband Noah.”

Are you looking forward to checking out ‘Roswell, New Mexico’? What did you think of the first trailer for the series? Will this be able to surpass the original series and be a reboot that lasts more than a season? Share your thoughts below!
