the predator

With ‘The Predatorreshoots behind us, there are new images from the film available to check out as well as updates on the movie itself that we have to share with you. There are article images as well as promotional stills that 20th Century Fox has released for all of us to enjoy.

While the first trailer didn’t wow audiences, the most recent one has gotten quite a bit more attention. It’ll be interesting to see which one more accurately represents the tone of the movie.

We were previously told that the reshoots changed much of the third act and now it sounds like all of the later major character deaths have been changed and that the “friendly Predators” have been removed from it. On top of this, the Ultimate Predator fight scene was hinted to take place outside of a school in the most recent trailer and is now in another location. Also, scenes were apparently added that would connect the movie to the previous standalone Predator movies as well as the ‘Alien vs. Predator’ films. This includes the spear which Sanaa Lathan’s Lex wielded along with the spear from ‘Predator 2.’ Also included are rumored to be grainy photos of the Predators which were from the first two films.

As to the new images?

Boyd Holbrook as Quinn McKenna who is “a former Army Ranger who encounters the Predators upon arrival. However, it sounds like he’s going to have trouble convincing others of their existence, at least in the beginning. “

Here we have Olivia Munn as Casey Bracket who is playing “a disgruntled science teacher that will, for some reason, team-up with the crew of former soldiers on their suicide mission of stopping the Predators.”

Thomas Jane will be playing Baxley who is “a military veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq and during the events of the film, will be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.”

Here is Trevante Rhodes as Nebraska Williams and he’s taking on the role of “a former Marine and best friend of Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook).”

I love the look that Alfie Allen is giving here as Lynch, “one of the many former soldiers that will team-up with Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) to stop the Predators. Allen will also return in Game of Thrones next year and will hopefully earn his redemption.” My guess is that he won’t be making it through this one.

Here Augusto Aguilera stars as Nettles, “a former Blackhawk helicopter pilot that has suffered a traumatic brain injury after a terrifying crash. “

Keegan-Michael Key will play Coyle who is “one of the many former soldiers that will team-up with Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) to stop the Predator threat.”

Sterling K. Brown is tackling Will Traeger and is “an agent who arrests Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) and later recruits him to help save the day. “

A great casting throwback to a previous film, here we have Jake Busey who is playing Sean Keyes and is “the son of Peter Keyes, who was coincidently played by his father Gary Busey in Predator 2. “

We’re rounding out the casting images with Jacob Tremblay who will be Rory McKenna and is “the son of Quinn (Body Holbrook) and Emily (Yvonne Strahovski), who has a form of autism. He’ll inadvertently summon the Predators and will then play a key role in stopping them thanks to his preternatural ability to learn languages.”

Now that we’ve gotten casting out of the way let’s take a look at some scenes with the aliens that we can’t wait to see on the big screen once again!
