If you’ve been wanting to find out what to expect in the seventh season of ‘Arrow’ then you’re in luck as the official synopsis has been revealed! Not only do we know what new villian Oliver Queen will be up against, but it also brings the plot of a canceled ‘Green Arrow’ film!
Not only are we seeing what happens with Queen’s identity as Green Arrow out in the open but a new villain is using this knowledge against him in quite a personal way. Here is what we can expect going forward:
There has been no shortage of close calls for Oliver Queen when it comes to protecting his Super Hero identity, but in the season six finale, he was finally backed into a corner and forced to reveal himself to the world as the Green Arrow. Now, Oliver will come face-to-face with many of the criminals he placed behind bars, as he makes a new home for himself at Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, challenging him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.
Aside from this new threat, we’ll also bee seeing “many of the criminals he placed behind bars” so a ton of his old enemies could be making a comeback. It isn’t clear if this new enemy will be what forces him to escape from Slabside Maximum Security Prison to stop him or if our hero will be let out for another reason.
The idea of Oliver having to escape from a supermax prison, though, was the plot that David S. Goyer was touting for a ‘Green Arrow’ film. In it, we would have seen Queen locked up for a crime he didn’t commit and having to escape. To do so, he had to team up with the very enemies that he had put behind bars.
While the movie never happened, it sounds like we might be seeing the plot for it come to life over the upcoming seventh season.
