Castlevania

If you’ve been dying for an update on Netflix’s ‘Castlevania‘ anime then creator Warren Ellis has your back! Not only does he share when Season 2 is due, but he has a few other details of what to expect as well. As we haven’t heard anything past the second season order since last year, there has been worry that it might be 2019 before we are able to see the Belmont clan take arms against Dracula and his forces once again.

Thankfully, that isn’t the case.

According to Ellis:

So it is an 8-episode run that will be due in 2018. Likely, it’ll drop this Fall and it would almost seem in Netflix’s best interest to have it released in late October to be seasonably festive. That would put it a little past the summer premiere which we had initially been informed of.

If you haven’t had a chance to check this series out yet, I implore that you do! The first run was also short and fit rather perfectly in the realm of ‘Castlevania’ lore. Critics and fans both loved this series which was loosely based off of the 1989 release of ‘Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse’ wherein the 1940s we see Trevor Belmont working against Dracula who has taken over much of Europe.

A great series with some real talent behind it has this being a new series we’re excited to see the sophomore season of.

Did you love ‘Castlevania’ and are excited that the second season will drop this year? Will the creators be able to capture the same tone that lured fans in for the freshmen outing? Share your thoughts below!
