Castlevania

Netflix usually takes a bit longer to announce the second season of a series but we’ve already learned that ‘Castlevania‘ will be coming soon with an expanded episode count! Of course, it wouldn’t be hard to do that as the introduction was only four episodes long but fans will be happy to hear that they’ve doubled the sophomore season to eight!

This new animated series based on the classic franchise has been getting rave reviews and I’m hoping that Warren Ellis will be returning for the next batch of episodes as the series writer once again. According to Chief Creative Officer of WOW! Unlimited Media and CEO of Frederator Networks and Frederator Studios Fred Seibert:

“Castlevania has been a world icon for 30 years. WOW! and Frederator are honored to have the privilege of bringing it to life as an entertainment series that will continue its story for years to come.”

Outside of the ridiculous length of Seibert’s title, I’m glad that he continues to plan on handling to property as well as they have so far. If they can keep up this level of quality in animation and voice acting going forward I suspect that this will be a series which we’ll be seeing making returns for multiple seasons to come. With such an amazing voice acting cast that includes “Graham McTavish (The Hobbit, Outlander and Preacher) as Dracula, Richard Armitage (The Hobbit trilogy) as Trevor Belmont, James Callis (Battlestar Galactica) as Alucard, Emily Swallow (Supernatural) as Lisa, Matt Frewer (Orphan Black) as The Bishop, Tony Amendola (Annabelle) as The Elder and Alejandra Reynoso (G.I. Joe: Renegades) as Sypha Belnades” it is almost hard to go wrong!
