There is s a new report which appears to confirm some of the casting details of the previous ‘Men in Black’ rumors as well as some of what the plot may be about. Sony has been pretty quiet in their new take on the franchise but all that is starting to change as the vision of the fourth movie is starting to become more evident. With the next outing set to go into production next month, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that more details are finally emerging.

For starters, we know that it will team up Chris Hemsworth (‘Avengers: Infinity War’) with Tessa Thompson (‘Thor: Ragnarok’) in a team up that won’t see these two flying through space. Of course, with aliens involved anything is possible!

The new movie will show Thompson playing Em who has joined the London branch of the ‘Men in Black’ and is working on proving herself. When she signs up, the powers that be partner her with a “former ace” agent named H who is played by Hemsworth. Yes, they’re recreating some of the setups from the first film and as this is likely a stepping in point for moviegoers, that just might be what the franchise needs.

The pair will find themselves traveling the world while trying to solve a murder mystery. The movie is also described as “an ensemble piece than a two-hander and will be more global in scale.” The rest of the cast has yet to be announced though I’m sure with production coming up that we’ll see director F. Gary Gray releasing new details soon.

The movie is based on a script by Matt Holloway and Art Meachum who worked together on ‘Iron Man’ and is due out next year. We do know that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are both said to not making be making appearances but if this is a soft reboot to tell new stories in the same universe, it’d be hilarious to peak in at the New York office on this global fight and see one of the two still active.

Do you think that a new take on ‘Men in Black’ will work? Are you glad to hear that we’ll be seeing another division of this global organization? Share your thoughts below!
