Agent Coulson has been alive again for over five years now since his death brought The Avengers together, and we’re all wondering if Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will find out that he is alive once more. With ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ potentially killing off some of the original Avengers from their contracts being up and Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ potentially ending the series this season, there isn’t much time to resolve this.
Will we get a reunion, even a partial one that everyone is hoping for? According to the head of Marvel Television and ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ executive producer Jeph Loeb:
“It’s certainly something that will get resolved, and it may get resolved in a very surprising way.”
With how vague that answer is we don’t even know if this is something that will occur during the events of the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ or from the season and potentially series finale of ‘MAOS.’ While some of the original Avengers might be nearing their deaths, we likely won’t see the last of them until the untitled ‘Avengers 4’ so there is still some leeway on when this can be explained.
We know that there is a huge surprise coming for the 100th episode of the series though the producers have said on multiple occasions that it won’t be in the form of Avengers cameos – unless they’re messing with us.
It is good to know going into both the movie and series that we’re going to get some kind of resolution.
Do you think that Agent Coulson will be reunited with any of The Avengers one last time? Will they allow for him to say his goodbye during ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ or do you think that the studios have something else in mind? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ has a release date of April 27th, 2018 and ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ airs Friday nights at 9 p.m. on ABC.
