When a trailer was released for Fox’s ‘The Gifted’ we knew that a premiere for this mutant-filled drama couldn’t be too far off and now the network has shared we can check the show out this Fall! This X-Men themed series is set to be released on Fox, not FX like their other mutant show ‘Legion’ which makes a crossover between the two far less likely. Of course, the teasers we’ve seen don’t fully seem to match the Earth which ‘Legion’ has been building on screen so far. If you’ve been dying to check the show out though, you’ll want to mark down Monday, October 2nd 2017 at 9PM to be able to get in that first viewing.

The series will air weekly following the third season of their police procedural which is also partially comic book inspired, ‘Lucifer.’ With ‘The Gifted’ having begun filming in March and as we’ve already seen footage, this Fall release shouldn’t be a big surprise to anyone. It is nice to know when we’ll finally be able to see it though.

We’ve heard plenty of rumors that the series may eventually tie into the films and even include a cameo from Anna Paquin’s Rogue though the initial mutants seen mostly haven’t been connected to the films. I do say mostly as Jamie Chung will be playing Blink who is a character that was previously seen in the future post-apocalyptic world of ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ though there she was portrayed by Bingbing Fan.

Are you looking forward to ‘The Gifted’? Happy to hear that we only have to wait until October for the series to premiere? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
