While I enjoyed the first season of ‘Preacher,’ it really looks from this teaser that the second is where it will jump from good to great. Currently, this teaser seems to show a focus on the Saint of Killers who was introduced in the first but really becomes a major thorn in our Preacher’s side in this one. A few outlets are reporting that he is the main villain of the season though I suspect that while Graham McTavish’s character will be hunting Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy, there will be at least one other that they’ll be going up against here.

As a bonus, we also have a few promotional shots below to share with you.

The first season of the show took place before the events of the comics with a couple pieces from the first issues being sprinkled, so part of this season will end up actually following the comics in a more linear fashion. Of course, as their willing to play fast and loose with comic adaptations on AMC it is hard to tell exactly how close to the script they’ll end up being.

You can check out this “Beast” of a teaser that clocks in at only 30 seconds below!

“Someone is after Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy. A beast straight out of hell.” This tagline for the teaser is so very true. Especially when Ruth Negga recently described the upcoming season as “a road trip that goes horribly wrong.”

Let me get this out of the way first and say that if this is just the teaser, can you imagine how fun the actual Season 2 trailer is going to be? As this is more where we jump into the comics, it should be interesting to see which story arcs they follow nad how faithfully they use them going forward. As mentioned above, we also have a bit of new promotional art to whet your whistle.
