After I first saw the trailer for ‘The Leftovers,’ I was really curious as to how this would play out on screen. HBO does an amazing job with big budget television shows and this was a huge event that has a lot of potential. The show is being put together by Damon Lindelof of ‘Lost’ fame and he claims to have learned his lessons about how not to anger an audience from the first show after sucking them in. If that is true, I’m sure we can all hope that this series is just as addicting as his last one without any of the annoying let downs.

On a side note it seems that Yahoo is trying to use media to become relevant again as they are the ones who were given permission to release the first episode which occurred just after they announced that they would be releasing the next season of ‘Community.’

Back to why we are here though, ‘The Leftovers’ follows a world where 2% of the human population disappears with no trace. God? Aliens? Something else? We follow a town where those who were left behind try to find out what happened as well as move on with their lives. If you don’t have HBO or haven’t had a chance to check it out quite yet, we are happily able to share the first episode with you.

The concept for this show is great and the pilot itself is pretty solid. It is also great of both HBO and Yahoo to have teamed up to help bring it to anyone who doesn’t have the channel.
