Sure it might not be a trailer, and you might see it a million times by the end of the first season, but we’ve got the opening title sequence for ‘American Gods‘ to share with you today! With one month left until the series debuts, this is a fun little treat to see how each episode will open and I do mean treat because it is rather fun to watch.

You can check out it below!

Executive Producers Bryan Fuller and Michael Green released a joint statement and the first question they ask pretty much sums up how I feel about the intro:

“Is it strange to want action figures from a main title sequence? Crucified astronauts, neon cowboys and S&M centaurs, we bow to Elastic and their spectacular vision. A totem of godly visions we didn’t know we needed to worship until they showed us the light with this clarion call to the American Gods.”

I can see why they would want some of the intro done as action figures though quite a bit of it wouldn’t be able to be sold in your standard toystore. We’ll only have to wait one more month until the show is out and we can see if everything ends up being as good as the previews have been!

What do you think of the main title sequence for ‘American Gods?’ Is this something that you won’t mind watching every week when the show premieres? Share your thoughts below!

Synopsis:

American Gods pits Old Gods against New Gods, with the ancient mythological ones fearing irrelevance as their believers die off or are seduced by the money, technology, and celebrity offered by the younger deities. Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) is an ex-con who, left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). But in truth, Mr. Wednesday is a powerful old deity, on a cross-country mission to build an army and reclaim his lost glory.

The ‘American Gods’ Will Wage War On Starz On April 30th, 2017 at 9 pm ET/PT!
