Star Wars The Force Awakens Kylo Ren Darth Vader

Love knowing what to expect in upcoming films? Adam Driver (‘Midnight Special’,’Girls’) thinks that ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII‘ would be best released without any trailers being dropped before the premiere. Kylo Ren is once more trying to show his evil side but this time instead of killing off a fan-favorite character he would like to have us go into the next ‘Star Wars’ film without any preparation of what to expect when it hits the big screen.

Honestly, if any franchise could really pull that off it would probably be ‘Star Wars’ because we’ll all be lining up around the block to see what happened after ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ as is.

While being interviewed about his upcoming film ‘Silence’, Driver was asked about how he would feel if ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ dropped with no trailer at all after ‘Transformers’ The Last Knight’, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, and ‘War of the Planet of the Apes’ had all just received huge chunks of initial promos with their trailers and he responded that:

“I think that’d be bold. I’d love it, yeah! Then no one would know anything. The less people know, I feel like, the more exciting… the more of an event it is.”

That being said, we all know that by this time next year as we’re eagerly getting ready for the film to be released how we’re waiting on ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ that we’ll have already seen quite a few promos.

I don’t think it would surprise any of us if the first teaser drops this weekend with the release of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.

Are you looking forward to ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’? Do you think that you would be more excited for the film going in blind or will the mass marketing campaign that we’re set to experience next year going to help push you over the edge? Share your thoughts below!

‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ will open in a theater in a galaxy not far far away on December 15th, 2017.
