There have already been a ton of set photos from ‘Star Wars: Episode VII‘ and these latest ones show off a far out shot of both Adam Driver (‘Girls’,’Lincoln’) and Gwendoline Christie (‘Game of Thrones‘,’The Zero Theorem’). It’s a shame they couldn’t get closer for better details of the two. Still, while some of the earlier images have been spoilerish in showing off the Millennium Falcon, this set actually hints at what side of the battle the two actors might be playing for.
So I’m happy to share with you the first look of Adam Driver suited up in a Rebel flight suit, Gwendoline Christie in character, and an interesting looking vehicle that appears to be a rather familiar looking transport. Actually now that I think about it, will they still be called the Rebels in this movie or will they just be The Alliance now?
So there isn’t much going on in these pictures but you do get a look at some of the uniforms that we expect to see. There was a lot of buzz going around at one point that Adam Driver would be part of the Imperials, but he is quite clearly wearing a Rogue Squadron flight suit here. If that early rumor is true, what does that mean for these current shots? Could this be a bit of misdirection? Perhaps he could be spying for the rumored return of Emperor Palpatine, or at one point later on he could change sides in the film. Of course, the initial rumor could be false and he is just a hotshot alliance pilot in the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ movies.
