back-to-the-future-celebrationThis will be the first year of the ‘Back to the Future Fan Celebration’ and we’ve just learned that it will be taking place from the actual Twin Pines Mall seen in the movie! While last year was the 30th anniversary of the original film and the year that had Marty McFly appear in the future in ‘Back to the Future Part II’, the love of this franchise continues with this new ongoing convention.

The Celebration will be taking place at the Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry, California, in the parking lot which was the live filming location for the ‘Twin Pines Mall’ and later the ‘Lone Pine Mall’ after knocking down one of Old Man Peabody’s trees in the first film.

While most of this kind of conventions or celebrations have a cover charge, this one will be free and on October 25th, 31 years after the DeLorean became a household name, you can celebrate the release once more in style. The event runs from 4pm to 1:16am which is when Marty showed up to help Doc with his experiment.

On site will be DeLoreans, food trucks, 80s music such as The Flux Capacitors, contests, book signings, vendors, celebrity autographs, a screening of the film, and more! While the event itself will be free to attend, I wouldn’t expect any of the on-site attractions to be. Outside of the band, most of the details about the first annual Back to the Future Fan Celebration are a bit vague which is almost worrisome with the event only a month away.

You can find out all of the details on the Back to the Future Fan Celebration website!

No word if Nike’s self-lacing shoes will be making an appearance.
