In case you can’t get enough ‘Justice League’ news/spoilers, here is one more.  One scene that journalists were recently allowed to watch as it was filmed, featured the introduction of the newly buff J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, as he encounters not just Batman (Ben Affleck), but much to his surprise The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).  They soon find themselves joined by a fourth hero.

The story description is SPOILER-y as hell, so be warned.  Also, this scene could be edited heavily, re-shot or cut altogether.

Courtesy of the website JoBlo who witnessed the filming in person, here is a brief description, including dialogue:

Simmons’ Gordon is summoned to police headquarters by the Batsignal, but he is startled to find not only Batman, but Wonder Woman and The Flash.  We get a hint at the film’s plot when Gordon says that eight scientists have gone missing.  “Nine,” a mysterious voice corrects him.  Stepping out of the shadows is Ray Fisher’s Cyborg.  “a Star Labs scientist was taken tonight,” he announces, presumably in reference to his father Silas Stone, played by Joe Morton, who appeared briefly in ‘Batman V Superman’.  Reportedly, Wonder Woman gazes at Cyborg in a “knowing” or possibly even “seductive” way.

When the Parademons are described, Batman reportedly replies “winged monkeys?”  Then Wonder Woman clarifies who they are facing, who Batman should have recognized from his prophetic nightmare in ‘BvS’.  Wonder Woman says “There must be a nest nearby,” to which Batman responds that he thinks they are hiding out in an abandoned tunnel between Metropolis and Gotham City.

When Flash points to Cyborg and says, “If he’s coming (referring to Cyborg) we’re not all gonna fit into the car,” Batman declares he has something bigger, a vehicle called the “Nightcrawler.”  Then in true Gordon fashion, he turns his back and when he turns around, the heroes are gone… all except The Flash who mutters, “Oh, so they all just left?  That’s rude”

Once again, this scene could be completely different in the finished film or even omitted entirely, so take it with a grain of salt.

But based on this take, what do you think so far?

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

‘Justice League’ directed by Zack Snyder, and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg and J.K. Simmons, hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
