Daredevil Season 2

‘Daredevil’ Season Two is just days away from premiering on Netflix.  The first season brought a shockingly dark look at the previously colorful and lighthearted Marvel Cinematic Universe, but proved just the trick for savvy fans of the comic books.

Despite Daredevil (Charlie Cox) declaring “This is a war I need to fight alone.  My way,” Season Two ups the ante by bringing in two new wildcards, Matt Murdock’s college girlfriend/turned deadly assassin Elektra (Élodie Yung) and lethal vigilante The Punisher (Jon Bernthal).  But will they be allies or enemies?

It doesn’t look as if Daredevil needs any more foes, as the Yakuza appears to have returned with a vengeance.  As Matt’s mentor Stick (Scott Glenn) ominously declares:

“I haven’t told you everything.  The city is ground zero in a war it doesn’t even know is happening. And everything will change. This war is bigger than everyone.”

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Like Season One, Season Two will consist of 13 one hour episodes.

‘Daredevil’ Season Two stars returning cast members Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Franklin “Foggy” Nelson) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).  Joining them are newcomers Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/The Punisher), Élodie Yung (Elektra Natchios) and Stephen Rider (Blake Tower).  Confirmed guest stars are Scott Glen as Stick, Royce Johnson as Brett Mahoney, Peter McRobbie as Lantom and Amy Rutberg as Marci Stahl.
