Back in June, we learned that the Boy Who Lived will live again, except this time Harry Potter would be taking his wizarding world to the West End stage with ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’. Of course, fans from around the globe would love to see the eighth installment of the beloved character’s story in person, but that just isn’t possible for everyone. Luckily, Scholastic has just announced that they will be publishing the script in book form for witches and wizards everywhere.

According to Entertainment Weekly, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts I & II’ by J.K. Rowling and Jack Thorne will be released following the world premiere of the play concurrently with the eBook on Pottermore.com on July 31, 2016 (which happens to be Harry’s birthday). The book will contain the Special Rehearsed Edition of the script because changes are expected to be made as the play goes through previews and performances. However, this version will later be replaced by the Definitive Collector’s Edition somewhere down the line.

In addition to this announcement, some new details regarding the plot of the story have been released as well. Check out the latest synopsis for the story below:

“It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes darkness comes from unexpected places.”
