‘Daredevil’ is continuing to market itself for its March 18th release date, which means lots of new TV spots, promos, images and posters are due to be coming out soon, bringing with them all sorts of theories and potential spoilers for the new season. Which of course brings me to the point of this article: The ‘Daredevil’ team has recently released a new Sistine Chapel poster, to which fans claim there is a major clue as to a new villain that will be seen in Season 2.
While most of the images featured on the poster are characters and events fans can remember from the first season of Marvel’s ‘Daredevil,’ there is one tiny detail in the lower left-hand corner of the poster that fans are finding to be very intriguing (check out a close up of the card pictured below). It is a playing card, a King of Clubs to be exact, and while some might say that the King card was used as a placeholder for the Kingpin during the investigation in Season 1, that card was the King of Diamonds, not the King of Clubs. Therefore, fans are surmising this might be a clue that Bullseye, one of the great ‘Daredevil’ villains from the comics, might make his way into Season 2. Bullseye was known for his ability to throw playing cards with deadly accuracy, whether it be to something as innocent as a watermelon or as fragile as a human throat. And a playing card to the throat is a pretty big Daredevil moment from the comics that people are already saying may show up in the second season, but we can speculate more on that later.
What are your thoughts on the potential addiction of Bullseye to the cast of ‘Daredevil’ season 2? Was he ruined forever by his portrayal in the awful Ben Affleck ‘Daredevil’ movie? Share your opinions down in the comments!
Season 2 of ‘Daredevil’ will premiere on Netflix on March 18.
