Bob Iger Talks About "The Post-Avengers World"

Will there be another ‘Avengers’ movie down the line after how ‘Avengers: Endgame’ came to a close? Probably. At the moment, it is unclear, but it should be noted that Disney Chairman Bob Iger recently let us know that we’re living in a “post-Avengers world” during an Earnings Call. While another “Avengers” movie isn’t on the horizon, and probably won’t be until, at the very least, the end of Phase 4 or beyond.

According to Iger:

“In Marvel’s case, I’m calling it the post-Avengers world, it doesn’t mean there aren’t films being made with characters from the Avengers. In fact, we have Black Widow coming out, in fiscal ’20, and a Thor 4 movie in the works, and I can go on and on. We also are mining other characters like Eternals.”

With both Iron Man and Captain America out of the picture, it should come as no surprise that Marvel Studios would be introducing new characters.

WandaVision‘ is set to give us a return of both Wanda and Vision while ‘the Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ are bringing back another two heroes. We also can’t forget the ‘Hawkeye‘ series. Wanda isn’t sticking to just the small screen as she’ll be joining another Avenger in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ We’ll also be getting ‘Black Panther 2’ and a third ‘Spider-Man‘ movie. While we don’t know when we could see Hulk again, there is a ‘She-Hulk’ Disney+ series, which would be the perfect place to include Bruce Banner.

With ‘Loki‘ taking place in the past there is always a chance it could also be used to bring back Steve Rogers who is finishing his quest from ‘Avengers: Endgame’ or even another hero as well.

Are you excited for a “post-Avengers world”? Do you think that we’ve really seen the last “Avengers” film or will another be announced in the next couple of years? Share your thoughts in the comments below, True Believers!
