“This is dangerous,” Dana Scully cautions in the newest ‘X-Files’ promo trailer, to which her longtime partner Fox Mulder replies with bemusement, “When has that ever stopped us before?”
Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are back in the roles that made them famous, Duchovny as Mulder, the conspiracy-obsessed investigator and Anderson as Scully, the even-tempered skeptic. But is there anything left to be skeptical about after all of the pair’s beyond rational encounters?
If so, look for those doubts to be erased. The new clip features a quick cut of exciting-yet-enigmatic images from the new limited series kicking off in just a few short months on January 24th. One thing is obvious, the truth really is out there. Get ready for a front row seat for the excitement!

Like other “limited” series, most agree that this revival of ‘The X-Files’ could lead to a new ongoing series, should faithful fans tune in in sufficient numbers. And of course, the hope is that new fans who may be too young to have enjoyed the original run will be enticed by the familiar title and the promise of spooky and exciting supernatural thrills.
Joining Anderson and Duchovny will be original series stars Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner, William B. Davis as the Cigarette Smoking Man, Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes, Robert Patrick as John Doggett and Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood, and Bruce Harwood as the Lone Gunmen. Newcomers include Joel McHale, Lauren Ambrose, Robbie Amell and Kumail Nanjiani.
The new limited series kicks off with a two-night event on Sunday January 24th and continuing the following night, Monday 25th. Subsequent episodes will air in the Monday time slot.
