It’s a great time to be alive and a fan of ‘The X-Files’ as we have news about the return of The Lone Gunmen! Talk about starting the weekend off right as Mulder’s three sidekicks are officially back in action! Well, at this time we don’t know if they’ll be in all six episodes or even alive. However when the three apparently perished before we never did see bodies and it would be just like these conspiracy theorists to end up disappearing but not really dead.

So while we do know that Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood, and Bruce Harwood are returning to reprise their roles we don’t know much more than that. Haglund actually confirmed the rumor on Twitter as you can see below.

Soon after the announcement he shared a couple more details in an interview with Studio 10 which you can see below.

Haglund is actually part of the Studio 10 cast so gave them an exclusive interview. While he mentions that he is returning for filming and shared a little about his character there was one key tidbit that was brought up. At one point in the past Chris Carter had told him that the “Season 10” comic book was canon and while that might be changing for the television series it sounds as if the way that the three cheated death in the comics might actually be how they are alive and kicking on the show.

The way he phrased it was just conjecture but we may actually be able to see them return to the land of the living full time!

He stressed that he didn’t know for sure if that was what was going ot happen but I have a feeling this won’t just be a flashback scenario or showing The Lone Gunmen on tape.

Are you looking forward to the return of Mulder’s sidekicks? What kind of a return do you think they’ll have? If they are among the living do you think we’ll see them return in a dramatic entrance to even Mulder and Scully‘s surprise? Share your thoughts below!

‘The X-Files’ will return to Fox on Sunday January 24th, 2016
