It’s hard being the champ. Just ask UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey. Besides training for her next fight in November, she has been appearing in commercials and films like ‘Entourage’ and ‘Furious 7,’ developing her autobiography into a movie with Paramount Pictures, and preparing to go to a Marine Corps ball. Despite her already packed schedule, Rousey also wants to play Captain Marvel in the upcoming Marvel Studios film (and definitely not the porno). But if a certain emerald archer has something to say about it, the #1 pound-for-pound female MMA fighter in the world could join the DC Universe first.
While appearing at Dragon Con this past weekend, ‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell revealed that he would like to see Ronda Rousey make an appearance on the popular CW series. He’s not quite sure what she would be doing in Star City, but Amell’s open for anything as long as Rousey is involved:
“Ronda Rousey can play… Ronda Rousey can replace me for an episode if she wants. Ronda Rousey can literally do anything she wants at this point… to me… to the show!”
As a fan alluded when bringing this up, Rousey is a fan of the Olicity pairing, so I don’t see her coming into the show and coming between Oliver and Felicity. If this were to go down, the easiest thing to do would probably involve Ollie and Diggle attending one of Rousey’s fights where some villainous scheme unfolds. However, it would be pretty cool if she signed on to play the Arrowverse’s version of Power Girl, Star Girl, Liberty Belle, or some other heroine that fights alongside the Arrow for an episode or two.
