Lionsgate has finally debuted the full trailer for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ and it is as explosive as you would expect. After weeks of teasing (and a reminiscent Stormtrooper/Janet Jackson ‘Rhythm Nation’ Comic-Con teaser), we finally get our first really good look at the last chapter of ‘The Hunger Games’ saga.

The franchise has come a long way from the first ‘The Hunger Games’ film and the shifted tone of war in this trailer is a stark reminder of the battle Katniss and her fellow Tributes have been up against. It’s a long time coming for fans of both the book and the movies, and like all good things, the end is most anticipated and bittersweet. Director Francis Lawrence has promised a “satisfying” and “emotional” conclusion to saga and the trailer seems to promise all this and more!

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) confronts President Snow in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale, Finnick, and Peeta – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland reprising their original roles from ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.’  The film will hit theaters on November 20th.
