Bryan Singer is at it again. While the ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ director is hard at work on the set of his latest Marvel mutant film for 20th Century Fox, he’s giving fans an unprecedented look behind the scenes just as he did with some of his past projects such as ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ by posting updates to his social media accounts. Aside from pictures of the cast during down time, we also recently saw the set up for a scene that would spotlight Evan Peters’ Quicksilver. But now for the latest look, Singer brings True Believers back to a very familiar location.
Earlier this week, Singer took to his Instagram to share a video from a late night ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ shoot. The filmmaker mentions that he and the crew are shooting “a really cool secret scene” in the basement of the X-mansion. You can check out the video from the director below:
This definitely isn’t the first time we’ve seen that hallway in the X-Men film franchise, so fans will almost certainly recognize it as the corridor that leads to Cerebro, Professor Xavier’s apparatus for locating other mutants. However, is it possible that there are multiple hallways in the mansion that resemble this one? If so, there’s a chance that we could be seeing the Danger Room once again. After making an appearance in ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’, we haven’t seen the team’s fabled training facility onscreen. Just like he brought back some of our favorite team members for his return to the series, could Singer be bringing back the Danger Room as well so that it can finally appear in a good movie? I don’t know for sure, but it’s certainly a fun thought to have.
What do you think this “secret scene” could be that Bryan Singer and the crew of ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ are shooting? Do you think that it’s definitely a Cerebro scene? Or might it be something entirely different? Share your thoughts and theories in the comment section.
‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ben Hardy, Lana Condor, and Oscar Isaac opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
