Capcom has recently released three gameplay videos that shows off some of the new control schemes and the menu navigation that will be featured in the upcoming ‘Resident Evil: Revelations 2.’

In the gameplay videos, players can catch a glimpse of how movement and combat will work this time with basic maneuvers such as moving while aiming/shooting and melee attacks. There is also a bit contained in the videos showing how items are stored and managed in a separate but shared inventory between the game’s two playable characters, Claire Redfield and Moria Burton. For the most part, it is a lot of pretty basic stuff.

However, what is most interesting in these videos are the enemies that players will be facing in the game. Seen are grotesque creatures who relentlessly run and charge at the player to attack them. One was even seen jumping at the player before they were shot down. Combat dynamics are also shown in their proper form here as well with advanced tactics like side-dodging and having Moria use her flashlight to stun enemies while Claire is open to attack them.

A handy setting that looks to be featured in the upcoming survival horror entry is the ability to change the game’s controls to suit the player’s previous experiences with the long-running franchise. The second gameplay video below in particular displays how the game will offer additional control settings for players who are used to either ‘Resident Evil 4’ or even ‘Resident Evil 6.’

‘Resident Evil: Revelations 2’ takes place in-between ‘Resident Evil 5′ and ’6’ and is a thematic spin-off to ‘Resident Evil: Revelations.’ It is set to star none other than series veteran Claire Redfield, one of the main playable characters from the classic ‘Resident Evil 2.’ While attending a party celebrating the official induction of Moira Burton into Terrasave, a non-governmental human rights organization that helps B.O.W survivors, a team of soldiers attack the party and knock the two unconscious. Redfield soon awakens in a derelict prison on a mysterious island filled with grotesque creatures and other unknown horrors.

Regardless, feel free to check out all three of the gameplay videos of ‘Resident Evil: Revelations 2’ for yourself below.

‘Resident Evil: Revelations 2′ will be releasing as a downloadable weekly episodic series for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on February 17, 2015. A full physical release with additional content is also set to come out sometime after the series wraps up.
