Ubisoft has released an all-new launch trailer for the  Templar narrative-driven ‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue.’

The launch-trailer furthers dabbles on the firm conviction of Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin turned Templar who sets off on a crusade to rid the Americas of the Brotherhood of Assassins and their influence.

As a direct chronological sequel to ‘Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, ‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue’ is set between 1752 and 1761 during the Seven Years’ War and puts players in the role of Cormac, an Assassin who is betrayed and abandoned by the Brotherhood of Assassins after a multitude of innocent people are killed in the destruction of a city during an assignment. With a desire for absolute  vengeance and justice against the Assassins who had wronged his moral conscience, Cormac takes on the task of hunting Assassins for the Templar order. What soon follows paves way towards the lowest of lows in the Brotherhood of Assassins that is seen in 2012’s ‘Assassin’s Creed III.’

Much like last year’s ‘Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag,’ ‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue’ will feature gameplay that is split between land and sea. Players will navigate cities like New York, Alabama and Quebec to take on missions to unravel Assassin plots while also taking to the ocean to explore and take down Assassin hideouts.

‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue’ is one of the two ‘Assassin’s Creed’ games that has come out this year with the other being ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity.’ The former is available exclusively for last-generation consoles while the former is has been released exclusively for current-generation consoles. Windows PC seems to be the only platform that will receive releases of both this year’s ‘Assassin’s Creed’ franchise titles. However, those who wish to play the PC version of ‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue’ will have to wait until early 2015.

‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue’ is available now exclusively for Xbox 360 and PS3. It has also been announced for release on Windows PC sometime in early 2015.
