It won’t be too much longer until we get to see the epic battle that will take place in ‘The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies‘ and today we’ve got two previews from the film for you.

First up is a new look at The Necromancer of Dol Guldur from the film which is the clearest look of him being Sauron reminiscent of his battle armor to date and following that up we’ve got the first TV spot for the film to share with you. As this is Peter Jackson’s last dance with JRR Tolkien’s material, you can expect that the visuals will be epic, the naysayers will be vocal, and the fans will be coming out in droves when it is released this December!

So as I mentioned above, first up we have a shot of The Necromancer played by Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies.’ The image is from the companion book, ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Official Movie Guide’.

If you want a little more than that though, we’ve also got a thirty second teaser trailer for you showing off all kinds of action that will take place in what they are billing as the defining moment in ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy as ‘The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies’ is setting to bring Jackson’s now 6-movie run to a close.

Are you teased yet and looking forward to December 17th for when the movie is released? I know that I am! While Jackson has clearly taken liberties with the source material his epic big screen adaptation has been a pure joy to watch for me.

Synopsis:

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town. Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ opens in theaters on December 17th and stars Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Evangeline Lilly, Stephen Fry, Ian McKellan, Hugo Weaving, Lee Pace and Benedict Cumberbatch.
