‘Daredevil‘ is coming to Netflix and now one has to wonder how true to the comic can the Man Without Fear be on the small screen brutal streets of Hell’s Kitchen. We’ve already been told the series will have a gritty 70’s New York feel but what about for the violence itself? That wasn’t too clear yet. Daredevil is obviously a street brawler and with Steven DeKnight, the creator of ‘Spartacus,’ in charge, the idea of over the top violence might not be too much of a stretch depending on what Netflix allows.
How long are we going to be completely in the dark about it? Well DeKnight gave us a little insight recently.
Less than Spartacus, more than SHIELD. RT @TimLydon0: What are you allowed to show on @Daredevil in terms of violence, swearing, etc?

Well, that was very informative. So it will be more violent than the family friendly Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ on the ABC network but not quite as violent as the show that pits gladiators against one another to the death that was on Showtime.
Thanks for answering by not answering!
While there is a good chance we’ll see a bit of mystery solving or a lawyer thriller while he’s dressed as his day job of Matt Murdock, there will almost have to be plenty of action when he is suited up as Daredevil. He has a long history of battling crime fist first and that is something we’re all sure to see quite a bit of. You can’t go up against the Kingpin of crime and his army of thugs and foot soldiers without cracking a few skulls.
Are you pumped for ‘Daredevil’ to be released? Do you think with how much experience he had directing fight sequences with ‘Spartacus’ that we are in for some amazing visuals coming up? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
