SPOILER ALERT: The following article and video reveal some secrets from the upcoming season of ‘The Walking Dead’ which doesn’t debut until October.  Proceed with caution.

There were some questions left unanswered at the end of ‘The Walking Dead‘ Season 4– mainly what happened to regular characters Carol, Tyreese, Beth and baby Judith.  Well, all of them pop up in the following video clip which debuted at SDCC.  So they’re still alive… for now.

“This is a season that is going to be pretty close to the comics,” promised comic book creator and show executive producer Robert Kirkman.  As readers of the comics know, the “Terminus” storyline mirrors that of comic book story arc “The Hunters” but there are some major differences between the TV show and the comic.  For one big thing, the character Dale who played a large part in the comic story is already dead on the TV show.  Will someone else take his place?  Or will the TV version go in another direction?  Also, the Terminus characters Gareth and Mary are original to the show.  How will that change things?

At any rate, it looks like the main cast will be hitting the road once more, in an effort to get Eugene to Washington D.C., where they hope the cure to the zombie apocalypse lies.  Yeah good luck.  And from the looks of things in this clip, it doesn’t appear that their efforts pan out.  (Once again, if you read the comics, you know where that road leads.)

Unfortunately, as with most trailers, things are chopped up and we only get glimpses and snippets of dialogue, which reveal a little but not enough to know anything for certain.  You can watch for yourself below:

The only thing I think I can say for sure, is it looks like Beth has been taken in by a different set of survivors.  I don’t think her scenes are set in Terminus, but I could be wrong.  Also the character Beth doesn’t exist in the comics, so her storyline could be something completely new.

Speaking of which, it looks as if Bob (who is very loosely based on a comic book character) and Sasha (completely original to the show) will be taking on larger roles this season, as both get fairly large amounts of screen time in the trailer.

What do you want to see happen in the new season?  Who do you think will be the first casualty?  (Because some one has to be.)
