We’ve already seen a couple of trailers for ‘I, Frankenstein‘ but now we’ve got the first official clip from the film! With the movie due in just under two weeks, there isn’t much time to get more marketing in even though pieces such as the digital prologue comic hasn’t seemed to garner much attention.

The latest clip, however, does give us an idea of how Victor Frankenstein might be involved and why his research actually ends up being so very important to the plot. It’s all told through the persepective of Aaron Eckhart’s as Frankenstein’s monster as he explains how the end of the world is coming, presumably after he had just survived an action sequence while learning these secrets. Why presumably? Because that’s just the kind of movie this is!

This is a movie that I really want to like in that over the top action-horror mash-up that was made popular by ‘Underworld’ which rarely is as enjoyable as I’d want it to be. With the fact that Eckhart’s Frankenstein doesn’t look like he’s made from multiple bodies and that he keeps being referred to as Frankenstein are just two pieces of annoyance I have problems overlooking.

I will, of course as much as possible, hold judgement until I see the film. Like I said, I really want to like this one.

Synopsis:

200 years after his shocking creation, Dr. Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, still walks the earth. But when he finds himself in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity, Adam discovers he holds the key that could destroy humankind.

Well, it looks like while Frankenstein’s monster has still annoying taken Frankenstein as his own name, his “father’s” research is the entire cause for the final war between good and evil on Earth. That’s what this brief clip looks like at least.

Dr. Frankenstein bringing back the dead and unleashing an army of demonically controlled corpses upon the Earth? Hell of a legacy!

Does the clip have you craving to know more about how demons are using reanimated corpses to invade the Earth?

‘I, Frankenstein’ starring Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, and Jai Courtney comes to life on January 24, 2014.
