Holy abs Batman! Wait, this isn’t a return of Two-Face in ‘The Dark Knight 2: DC Threw So Much Money At Us We Had To Make It’…

Let’s backtrack a second shall we? It was nearly 2 years ago when we first heard that Aaron Eckhart was going to star in I, Frankenstein and after that? A long period of silence. Then things started to change when 2 months ago the first I, Frankenstein motion poster was revealed. It gave us a hint at what Aaron would look like playing Adam Frankenstein, the Frankenstein Monster.

Now we have the first official still thanks to this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Apparently, Victor Frankenstein has either decided to raid a body builder’s graveyard when piecing The Monster together or has found a way for dead muscle to get a workout. I mean I wasn’t expecting Adam Frankenstein to be so evenly matched in combination of being muscular.

Uncanny undead body building aside, this graphic novel turned movie sounds like it’ll be an amazing film. Aside from the star from ‘The Dark Knight’, we also have Bill Nighy (‘Underworld’ franchise, ‘Doctor Who’), Yvonne Strahovski (‘Chuck’, ‘Dexter‘), Miranda Otto (‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘War of the Worlds’), and Jai Courtney (‘Divergent’, ‘Jack Reacher’) starring in the film. Not only is the cast great, but it was written by Kevin Grevioux (‘Underworld.’). While Stuart Beattie is new to directing, he has a lot of films under his belt as a writer so I’m excited to see what he can bring to the table.

How about you? Aside from the kind of ridiculous patchwork of how Adam was “put together”, are you looking forward to seeing the film? The graphic novel was pretty good,  but do you think it can translate properly to the big screen?

Synopisis:

“Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.”
