With its January 24th release right around the corner, it’s only fitting that we have another television spot released for ‘I, Frankenstein‘. I feel that we’ve been kept rather low on interesting promotional material past the motion comic that was released. While Stuart Beattie has a slew of writing credits to his name, I’m curious to see how he does in the director’s chair as this will only be his second time helming a film.

With how similiar this film is to the ‘Underworld’ series, it’s a wonder we haven’t been seeing more TV spots that center on the action. There have been surprisingly few commercials for what I would have thought would be a quick buck action flick. So moving on to the most recent promotional material.

First up we have an international poster for the film and with its foreign title of ‘Yo, Frankenstein’ emblazed below poses of the cast. I really could see this one getting the PhotoShop treatment in short order.

Next up we have a new international trailer for the film which features a bit of Bill Nighy’s (‘Total Recall‘, ‘Wrath of the Titans’) character, Naberius.

Synopsis:

200 years after his shocking creation, Dr. Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, still walks the earth. But when he finds himself in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity, Adam discovers he holds the key that could destroy humankind.

I’m still undecided on how I think the film will be from the previews. It has an incredibly strong acting cast but looks like it could be worse than anything from the ‘Underworld’ series that’s been released to date. I suppose we’ll have a better idea once the film itself is released later this month!

‘I, Frankenstein’ starring Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, and Jai Courtney comes to life on January 24, 2014.
