Now that Warner Brothers has found its Wonder Woman in the form of Israeli-born actress Gal Gadot, most famous for appearing in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, I suppose the question is what role the character will play.  Traditionally, Superman has been romantically linked with Lois Lane and Lana Lang, but DC decided to mix things up recently by pairing the Man of Steel with the Amazing Amazon in a budding romance in the comics.

Will ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ reflect that or will Henry Cavill’s blossoming relationship with Amy Adams’ Lois Lane carry on?

While promoting her new movie ‘American Hustle’, (coincidentally co-starring Christian “Batman” Bale, Jennifer “Mystique” Lawrence and Jeremy “Hawkeye” Renner) Amy Adams gave her two cents as to how she’d like the role to work out.  And proves that she “gets it” even if the studio won’t.

“Am I interested? I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries… Wouldn’t it be nice if women weren’t always catfighting and stuff?”

That would be refreshing to say the least.  And I’d love to see that approach, two women who like each other and can co-exist without cattiness and competition.  It would be extra sweet if Lois could actually help Wonder Woman or the male heroes and not serve as the damsel in distress, thus proving why Superman chooses to be with her over any other woman.

‘Man of Steel’ was controversial to say the least, but I think most reacted positively to Adams’ spunky take on Lois Lane.  (I bought her Lego Minifigure.  It’s right there alongside my Pepper Potts Minifigure.)  And Adams makes a valid point in that there needs to be more amicable interactions between female characters in action movies.
