Jason Flemyng, a British character actor who has appeared in ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’, ‘Snatch’, ‘Kick-Ass’ and ‘X-Men: First Class’ tweeted then deleted a photo of a page of the ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ script (and a glass of Stella Artois). The script page in the tweet was pretty much impossible to read, due to the angle, so there is not much to gather from it. (And it was printed on red paper which is impossible to photocopy, so don’t expect any leaks.) But nevertheless, it appears that Flemming has auditioned for a role in the highly-anticipated installment in the legendary movie series.

But this is hardly the only rumor concerning the new ‘Star Wars’ flick that’s floating around. Casting rumors have been flying since the project was announced, but the latest is that Matt Smith, better known as the Eleventh Doctor in the ‘Doctor Who‘ franchise, has met with someone in regard to playing a role in the movie as well. Well, I suppose if director J.J. Abrams can cross over from ‘Star Trek’ to ‘Star Wars’, The Doctor can do the same thing. Maybe they can throw some X-Men in, while they’re at it. Wait, I just drifted over to Patton Oswalt territory. My bad!
Though Smith is best know for his small screen work, he will appear next year in the feature film ‘How To Catch A Monster’ (Ryan Gosling‘s directing debut) appearing opposite ‘Mad Men’ actress Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan (also rumored to be up for a role in ‘Star Wars’) and Eva Mendes.
But of course, the movie isn’t due to storm theaters until 2015. Expect every name in Hollywood to be attached at some point over the next few months. Well, minus the ones Samuel L. Jackson ruled out. (Still hoping that’s disproven!)
