It looks like the Navy SEALs don’t just take down terrorists these days as the freshly announced ‘Seal Team 666’ will be dealing with demons! Not only that, but it has Dwayne Johnson (‘G.I.Joe: Retaliation‘, ‘San Andreas’) tapped to join the team! The film will be based on the book by Weston Ochse with the screenplay by Evan Spiliotopoulos (‘Wanted 2’) who also wrote the upcoming Hercules film that Johnson has a starring role in. No director has been announced at this time.

Johnson is a pretty busy man these days so it’s a good thing he has time to fit in saving the world from demons and the like. Currently The Rock is set to play Hercules, return in Fast & Furious 7, save his daughter in San Andreas‘, and may play around as an evil android in ‘Terminator 5‘. Not only does he have all of that confirmed on his plate but the creator of ‘X-Force’ wants The Rock to play Cable in the upcoming film!

Not just starring in the film Johnson will also be one of the executive producers along with Dany Garcia (‘Snitch’), Brendan Deneen (‘Knight Rider‘), and Peter Joseph.

Book Synopsis:

Halfway through SEAL training, Cadet Jack Walker, still green but showing incredible promise, is whisked away to join four SEALs and their dog for a special ops mission. Walker soon finds himself in a whirlwind of otherworldly creatures and events as he discovers the true nature of SEAL Team 666.

Battling demons, possessed humans, mass-murdering cults, and evil in its darkest and most and ancient form, the members of SEAL Team 666 have their work cut out for them. And it’s not long before they realize that the threat isn’t directed against the US alone — an ancient and deadly cult has far bigger plans, and Walker is at the center of a supernatural conflict in which the entire world is at stake.

Johnson fighting demons and the like sounds almost like a live action version of the game ‘Doom’! I’m totally in! Wait a sec. Johnson already starred in the live action version of ‘Doom’ and it was horrible. Maybe this one will be quite a bit better. One can only hope.

Are you excited to see Johnson face off against demons and other related supernatural creatures?
