Kevin Feige Ms Marvel

With the release of ‘Captain Marvel‘ on the big screen fans of Ms Marvel have been getting excited that their next generation superhero might finally be stretching her heroic abilities on the big screen. However, we have yet to see even a hint that she exists in the Marvel Cinematic Univers but this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise either. While the MCU tends to take liberties with the origins of every hero, it sounds like many of the major beats for Ms. Marvel’s origin will happen when she eventually graces the big screen, and it would be impossible to have already introduced her.

Let’s explain.

If Kamala Khan had been born in the time-period of ‘Captain Marvel,’ she would likely still be an infant, and realistically she’d be born later which Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige indicates:

“No. No. I mean Monica you’ve mentioned, and it’s not hidden. Obviously. It’s right there. The answer is no. Cause I think Ms. Marvel is a contemporary story and I don’t think she was born yet.”

Much of what Ms. Marvel owes to her character is being born in a time of superheroes. On top of that, she specifically takes on the name of Ms. Marvel to emulate her favorite superhero Captain Marvel.

As Carol Danvers has yet to be known to the public at large you can only imagine that her face will be revealed to the world as one of those who worked with the Avengers to help save everyone during the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ What she does and how it will play out have all yet to be revealed, but it should shine a spotlight on her heroics in a way that helps to inspire the future hero.
