The last thing we really heard about ‘Thor: The Dark World’ is that it was going back for reshoots. While that is usually news that would worry any moviegoer, we quickly found out that the reason for that was to include more of Loki (since the crowd went wild for him at Comic Con) so that was OK.

Honestly, this almost had to happen after we found out that Loki won’t be in ‘The Avengers’ sequel.

Now we have 15 great new images from the upcoming film and each one should get you more excited than the last! (So says the Marvel fanboy at least!) One thing I’d like to point out is that are a few good shots of Asgard here (both in the foreground and in the background) and I have to say it looks even more amazing than it did in the original ‘Thor‘ film! They had hinted we’d be spending more time on Asgard compared to Midguard Earth this time around and these shots seem to deliver on that!

Aside from Asgard, we get a quick shot of New York with some humans you’ll recognize from the first film, some monsters (both good and bad!), a couple shots with Loki, and a shot of Thor and his father Odin. All in all it’s a great mini-shoot. (The dramatic shot with both Thor and Loki in it is probably my favorite of the bunch!)

So are you excited for more of everyone’s favorite Marvel Gods to grace the big screen? Let us know!

‘Thor: The Dark World’ continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Directed by Alan Taylor, ‘Thor: The Dark World’ will be in theaters on November 8, 2013 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
