Earlier this month, the stars of ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower travelled the country with series author Cassandra Clare on a mall tour to promote their upcoming movie. One of their stops was in Philadelphia at the Franklin Mills Mall to participate in a Q&A and autograph signing for the hundreds of fans that came out to see them (and to introduce the first clip from the movie). ScienceFiction.com was there to witness the madness with our very own cameras. But prior to making their mall appearance, the three of them sat down with the press for a roundtable interview to talk about the film.

In a very relaxed setting Downtown, a few select press members gathered with Bower, Collins, and Clare to discuss a number of things related to ‘The Mortal Instruments’. In Part One of the roundtable, we get into the writer’s involvement in the creation of the movie, some of their favorite book to movie adaptations, the ‘Mirror Mirror’ star’s determination to land the role of Clary Fray, and the next franchise that the former King Arthur plans on conquering next:

Stay tuned for Part Two of our exclusive interview coming on Monday! And in case you haven’t had a chance to check out ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ yet, be sure to read our review of the film, which actually turned out to be a lot better than originally anticipated.

‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, Jemima West, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers is currently in theaters right now.
