Earlier this week, we got our first look at Sebastian Stan on the set of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’. We also saw a few videos of the deadly assassin in action, but now, the former Bucky is causing a bit more trouble for his one-time friend Steve Rogers.
While shooting some scenes on a closed off highway in Cleveland, a few local news crews caught Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson engaged in battle against the Winter Soldier. Featuring lots of gunfire and a few larger explosions, the crowds that gathered to watch the shoot were certainly treated to a show starring Captain America and the Black Widow. You can see all the videos below thanks to Comic Book Movie:
Along with the videos, the report included a few great action photos of the cast, as well as some behind the scenes shots that the indicated that the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was present on set as they managed to catch Samuel L. Jackson sans his Nick Fury eye patch. You can see those photos in the gallery below:
The Winter Soldier is certainly proving to be a formidable opponent for the Sentinel of Liberty and the reformed Russian superspy, but I wonder how far into Brubaker’s legendary run on ‘Captain America’ will they delve into in this Phase Two film. You see, Natasha and Bucky partner up in more ways than one. I wonder if by the end of the film we’ll see some seeds being planted for that relationship down the line as they compliment each other on their shooting skills. Not that it absolutely needs to be in the movie or anything, but I just loved the two characters interacting with each other in the comics. Or maybe they’re saving that for a solo film. If that’s the case, I’m okay with that too.
What do you think of the latest footage from the set of Captain America’s next solo adventure? What are your thoughts on the Winter Soldier so far? Are you digging his cinematic universe attire? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
