The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly should make Trekkies very happy as the magazine has an exclusive first look at ‘Star Trek Into Darkness,‘ the sequel that has many fans waiting with baited breath for its release. But, you don’t have to wait until the magazine hits the stands this week because we have 5 new photos from the article here for you to see!

The photos give another glimpse into some scenes from the film and another look of the film’s villian, John Harrison who is played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Of course, there won’t be any real spoilers in the EW piece so any indication if Harrison is really Khan or not won’t be answered. The cast does, however, spill that there will be a whole lot of action this second time around. As Zoe Saldana states, “I told them to make sure that Uhura kicks more ass, and she does!”

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ takes the action to Earth where both London and San Francisco are under intense attack. The sequence looked awesome in the trailer. Can you image what it would look like in IMAX? While some movies have a smattering amount of IMAX footage in their films, Abrams promises that 45 minutes of the entire film will be in that format In other words, it will definitely be worth paying the extra money to see this film at an IMAX theater!
